Choosing lifting equipment starts with the job it needs to perform. Height alone is not enough: the equipment must also suit the load, access route, floor conditions and daily workflow.

Define the Task
Tell us whether your team needs to pick goods from shelving, carry out elevated maintenance, work on greenhouse crops or lift materials at a workstation.
Clarify whether the equipment will carry people, materials or both. Equipment intended only for material handling must not be selected as a personnel work platform.
Confirm Height and Load Requirements
State the required platform height and describe the task location. Platform height, working height and overall machine height are different measurements and should be identified separately.
Include the weight of operators, tools, materials and attachments. Where equipment has separate operator and cargo platforms, provide the load requirement for each.
Measure the Access Route
Record doorway widths and heights, aisle widths, turning areas and any thresholds or ramps. Compare these with the equipment’s transport dimensions and operating footprint.
If the equipment must travel in a building elevator, also provide the elevator’s door opening, internal dimensions and rated load.
Describe the Operating Conditions
Tell us about the floor surface, indoor or outdoor use, available charging supply and expected operating hours.
For greenhouse equipment, include rail dimensions, row spacing and the space available for transferring between rows.
Compare the Complete Configuration
Before ordering, confirm the exact model, rated load, platform height, machine weight, dimensions, power configuration and available options.
The quotation and technical documents should identify the configuration being supplied and its operating limitations.
